COMMITTEES AND GOALS

Are you a member of our Parish? Would you like to serve on any or multiple committees listed below? If so, please contact any Parish Council member Council or contact the member that is chair of any committee you wish to serve on.

ADULT EDUCATION COMMITTEE - Adult Education is continued growth and knowledge in our faith. It is to challenge and enlighten; it is sometimes entertaining and at other times painful. With this definition in mind, our purpose becomes one of providing opportunities for our parishioner and assistance to any and all other committees when they request it.

EVANGELIZATION/RELIGIOUS UNITY - Spreading the Gospel is the primary mission of the Church. It is in the very nature of the Church to "Go out to the whole world; proclaim the Good News to all creation." (Mark 16:15) Pope Paul VI, in his encyclical "On Evangelization in the Modern World" (n.14), quotes the Snyod of 1974: "We wish to confirm once more that the task of evangelizing all peoples constitutes the essential mission of the Church."

Religious unity, whether with other Christians in ecumenical efforts or with all persons of good will in religious unity, is an obligation of the Church, which has been specifically emphasized since the Second Vatican Council. This committee coordinates with the Diocesan Offices of Evangelization and Religious Unity.
